At Free Church, WE ARE FOR THIS GENERATION. We believe that "Youth are our VIPs, our most fertile soil, our greatest evangelists, and are to be invested in by their elders." One way we live out this DNA statement is through Child Dedication for children of all ages.

Child Dedication is an act of faith by a child's family, in which parents dedicate their child to the Lord's will and purposes, trusting Him with their child's life and future. It is also a commitment by the parents to raise their child to know, love, and follow Jesus, along with a prayer that their child will one day place their own faith in Christ.

Child Dedication is not baptism, nor does it guarantee or assure a child's salvation. Salvation comes only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. To learn more about baptism, please see our information on baptism.

We also believe that Child Dedication is a commitment by the local church to come alongside the family by encouraging, supporting, and praying for them as they raise their child. Because of this, we ask that families having their children dedicated at Free Church be active participants in our church family. Child Dedication is an act of faith and mutual commitment that we take seriously—not simply a religious ceremony or service that we offer.
